New System Admin Support Blog

For those of you who do not know me and may have stumbled on this blog, I am a technology professional with of 20 years of support experience. I am currently managing a great group of senior level administrators supporting both a Microsoft Windows environment and Unix environments.

I have been listening to technical podcasts for about 2 years now and I have been blogging for about a year now primarily concentrating on my Technical Manager's Perspective blog located at www.techmgr.net .

I really enjoy blogging and communicating and I know that I have a little following, however most of the folks that have communicated with me are strong technical folks and multiple comments that I have received are that my blog perspective is more managerial focused than technical solution focused. My recent interest and reading has been on the managerial side, which leads to more posts about managerial content as opposed to technical content, and after taking another look at the my blog A Technical Manager's Perspective, I felt my focus was more on the Managerial side than on the technical side.

So, in an attempt to maintain both a technical and managerial focus, I have created this blog primarily for system and network administrators. I would like to see this blog become a resource for all administrators, however I realize that this will probably will not happen if I am the only one contributing to this blog. I have a plan to try and make this blog be a great resource however, you will have to wait for me to work out a few details before sharing my plan with you.

Thanks for visiting ....
