End of the Summer Blues
Well, here it is, the end of summer. I bet that many folks are saying the same thing this weekend, "Where did the summer go?" It seems like yesterday that this nice weather started and the students left for the summer. It's so nice driving to work with 90% of the student population somewhere else. The only consolation for me is Football Season and the Patriots start next week which I am looking forward to.
Cathie and I were out doing errands today and we stopped in at Dairy Joy in Weston for supper. We had Molly and Rocky with us and it was a perfect place to get good takeout, eat in the car and not have to worry about the dogs who love to walk around the grounds there.
I know, I'm a little sad at the prospect of summer flitting away already. It seems like it only just got here! Already there are leaves turning in the cemetery park across the street. Sigh.
Thanks for the comment on Palin. I can't decide which is more bizarre: McCain choosing *her*, or the sad attempts at trying to justify her now by the right wing nuts who only a few weeks ago were complaining about Obama's lack of experience. Quite a hoot!
Hope all is well with Cathie, Kev, work and the pups! Talk soon.
