Boston Sports Teams

With the Celtics winning the Championship, there is a lot of talk about sports teams in Boston. I have my favorites, and admit that I am a fair weathered fan when it comes to the Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox, however I am a diehard Patriots fan and can't wait for the season to start.

Here is a list in order of preference, of my favorite Boston Teams ....

As I said, the Patriots are at the top of my list .......

And then there is the Bruins, I know that have not done well in a while, but I was always a Bruins fan

And next are the Celtics .......

and finally the Red Sox  .....

The Red Sox really fell out of grace in 1978, and it's going to take a few more Championships to have them move up in my list.

Cole's Blog

I wanted to point out a blog of a friend that I think is worth following. The blog is called "Cole" and the author is Cole Jolley. I have know Cole for about 8 years and it's obvious that he has caught the blogging bug.

What's great about Cole's blog is that it is a little more diverse than my blogs. Where my blogs are mostly about technology and my favorite interests, Cole writes about Technology, the Environment and Politics in a thorough and articulate manner.

Check it out ...... http://colejolley.blogspot.com/.

Boston Celtics Championship

Congratulations to the Boston Celtics.

Thank-You Celtics and Thank-You RED .....

We are very lucky in New England to have so many great sports teams. The Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox and even the Bruins. In the last seven years, Boston sports teams have captured 6 different championship titles. The Patriots have 3, the Red Sox have 2 and now the Celtics have one.

One common sports thread in the last decade is the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics are all under new management.  So, I guess it's time for new management of the Bruins.

Anyway, Thank-You Celtics ....

Tim Russet

I was saddened to see the death of Tim Russet this past weekend. Tim Russet was the host of Meet the Press, and although I never met him, I felt like I knew him and was upset after hearing of his death.

Now, I am a person who does not like politics, and I have a strong distrust for politicians at every level, however I liked Tim Russet as he appeared honest and genuine. Out of all the Weekend News shows, Meet the Press was the only show that I watched and it was all because of Tim. I saw him as an average blue collar guy who worked hard and was thankful for the success that he had achieved.

One thought that occurred to me this weekend was this ......

If George Bush were to suddenly die of a heart attack, I am sure that he would not receive the same amount of media coverage as Tim Russet.

And that is a Tribute to Tim.

Annoying Vista & Firefox 3 Problem

I ran into a little problem with Vista SP1 and Firefox 3. The Adobe Flash Player will not run on Vista in the Firefox 3 browser, however it runs just fine in IE and older versions of Firefox.

I received the "Additional plugins are required to display all media on this page" in the browser and there was a link to download the plugin.

However, after downloading the plugin and restarting Firefox, I still have the problem.

Have you ever felt like quitting your job, well this is one way to do it ...
